How long can I expect driving through the light show to take?
Time spent driving through the light show completely depends on the flow of traffic. The course is 1/2 mile long with 2,000,000+ lights. We recommend vehicles go through the drive-thru and then park in the observation lot afterwards to enjoy the full program, however vehicles can also drive the course as many times as they’d like.

Do I need to make a reservation?
Yes. Tickets must be purchased online before your visit. Sever’s Holiday Lights is an in-demand seasonal event, so we highly recommend purchasing as early as possible. You can buy tickets for peak dates (Fridays and Saturdays as well as the week of 12/16-12/23) or non-peak dates (most Sundays and weekdays). When you buy tickets, you must select an hour-long time slot (5PM-9PM on Sundays and weekdays, 5PM-10PM on weekends and the week of Christmas). You are free to arrive any time within your chosen time slot, and if you are running a little late (or early) for your time slot, you do not need to let us know––we’re happy to be flexible.

Something has come up and I need to transfer my tickets to another day. How do I do this?
Ticket dates are fully transferable within peak and non-peak dates. Please email us at seversholidaylights@gmail.com to change dates. Please note that Holiday Lights tickets are only valid for this season and will not transfer to next year’s event or any other Sever’s event.

We are running a little late for our chosen time slot. Do we need to call ahead?
No. We understand things come up and we are happy to be flexible if you are running a little late (or early) for your time slot.

Are you open on holidays?
Yes, we will be open 7 days a week from November 25, 2021 until January 2, 2022. Hours are Sunday through Thursday 5-9PM; Friday and Saturday 5-10PM. The week of Sunday, December 20th through Thursday, December 24th we will be open 5-10PM.

Can I buy tickets on-site?
Tickets are not available on-site as we anticipate most evenings to sell out. Please purchase online ahead of time.

Do you offer discounts?
We do offer large group or corporate discounts. Please inquire for details by emailing us at seversholidaylights@gmail.com.

When is your least busy time?
We recommend attending on Mondays through Thursdays. Typically, holidays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays are our busiest days. We generally are least busy right at opening and the hour prior to closing.

Can I get out of my car?
You may exit your vehicle to use the restrooms. Once in the drive-through, we ask that you stay in your car.

How early do I need to arrive?
We recommend arriving 30 minutes prior to the end of your time slot, if possible, in order to fully enjoy the program.

Where are you located?
We are located at 3121 150th Street West in Shakopee. This is right off of Hwy 169 2 miles south of Hwy 169 & County Road 41. Please visit our Location & Directions page for exact directions.

Do you take credit cards? Do you take cash?
Yes, we accept Visa, Mastercard and Discover and cash at our concessions and novelty vendors. However, tickets do need to be purchased online this season.

What vehicles can fit through the drive-thru?
Any vehicle or bus smaller than 30 feet long and less than 10.5 feet tall will fit through our drive-thru. Please note, small party buses and shuttle buses are less than 30 feet long on average. Limos could have difficulty on the course, and we don’t recommend them unless the driver/company is experienced with our event.

Do you close for inclement weather?
We will make any closure announcements via our website and our social media pages immediately upon making that decision. Those ticket holders will be able to visit us at another date/time. We defer to the National Weather Service on their recommendation on if cars should be on the roads.

Are dogs allowed?
Yes! Because we are exclusively drive-thru, if you’d like to bring your dog in your vehicle, feel free!

I have a credit from last year’s inclement weather closure. How do I redeem it?
We have a new ticketing system this year, so you will need to follow the instructions at this link to redeem your credit from last year via our previous ticketing system. Please email seversholidaylights@gmail.com with any questions.
